Broadband Technology Report (BTR) covers the latest tools, techniques, and approaches vital to broadband operators as they face the many challenges in today's hyper-competitive environment.
The BTR Diamond Technology Reviews are determined by an independent team of technical experts who rank products, software, and solutions. Scores of 3.5 or above are considered superlative, which is why Incognito is so pleased to have three solutions at and above this level.
Here are the details on each of our recognized solutions:
Digital Experience KPI Analytics
Challenge
Our client, a Tier 1 LATAM multi-play operator, wanted to expand its FTTH network and double its reach from nine to ~18 million homes while differentiating itself by providing excellent service quality across the GPON access network and into consumers' connected homes.
Solution
Our DX device management and data collection platform offers optional integration to any big-data platform and centralized KPI visibility for PON, connected home, and OEM devices. In addition, it can perform analytics on ONT-collected data for millions of parameters within the network footprint.
Result
Our Tier 1 client reduced IT costs, improved QoE (quality of experience), and increased SLA (service level agreement) adherence during their aggressive GPON rollout by adopting Incognito's KPI Analytics as part of its scalable, carrier-grade TR-069 ACS.
Judge's Comments
"This product can be invaluable in providing the necessary insight into your network and providing a quality service to the customer."
Digital Experience USP Support for Smart Home Service Delivery
Challenge
Operators want to capitalize on the expected growth of the smart-home-as-a-service market (projected to reach $205B by 2026) but struggle to make the most out of this opportunity when they face 12- to 18-month lead times to launch new revenue-generating products into residential fixed networks.
Solution
A newly unified architecture of TR-369 and TR-069 device management allows our Digital Experience (DX) Solution to equip service providers to conquer the connected home.
Result
Communication service providers (CSPs) can rapidly launch value-added consumer services like parental controls, AR/VR, Internet of Things, and more by leveraging Incognito's future-proofed standards-based approach to application service provider (ASP) and OEM integration.
Judge's Comments
The judges saw key capabilities in Incognito's solution, stating, "Unified control/management will be key for IoT..."
Broadband Command Center
Challenge
Like any major change, the transition to DOCSIS 4.0 has wide-ranging impacts spanning hardware, firmware, and software. The time, costs, and risks involved in upgrading can be an understandable deterrent to many cable MSOs (multiple system operators).
Solution
The ability of our Broadband Command Center (BCC) solution to work with all models, firmware versions, vendors, and whatever version of DOCSIS operators are running makes it the ideal choice to support network growth.
Result
Supported by Incognito BCC, operators can confidently move forward on their DOCSIS journey. We stay on top of specification changes and requirements, so our customers know they're in good hands. We also reduce the customer's cost to support DOCSIS 4.0 because, unlike our competitors, Incognito doesn't require licensing repurchase with every major version upgrade.
Judge's Comments
"Incognito's Broadband Command Center (BCC) 8.0 can ease the transition to DOCSIS 4.0."
Incognito was delighted to be able to attend SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2022 in person for the first time in three years.
